Tibia map pin for a place versus the hunting area

Dragons

Cult Cave is a hunting ground in Liberty Bay. Its atlas area is one placement, Cult Cave northeast of Liberty Bay, on the surface. Liberty Bay is the town placement. The boat to Meriana south of Liberty Bay, on the surface, is another placement again: that boat pin. Same region, three different pages.

Which page is the hunt, and which page is the pin?

The hunting-ground page is the record: town, recommended levels, creatures, and notable loot. Cult Cave lists Liberty Bay, surface, and a knight recommendation of 30. The hunting planner selects that record and, when the area has an atlas destination, offers “View hunting area on atlas.” For Cult Cave that button opens the surface placement northeast of Liberty Bay. The area marker covers the hunting area. It does not mark one creature’s exact spawn tile.

Darashia Dragon Lair works the same way. The ground page is the hunt. The atlas destination is Darashia Dragon Lair north of Darashia, on the surface. The town placement for Darashia is the town. Use the lair pin when you are going to the hunt, and the town page when you are looking for the town itself.

A creature can also have a page that gathers many placements. Dragons link to their locations. That page lists places where Dragons are recorded. It is broader than the single Darashia lair pin. Open the lair when you have already chosen that ground. Open the location list when you are still choosing among Dragon places.

What is an exact destination for?

Some pins are a person or a route rather than a hunting area. Irmana is at Irmana, east of Venore, above two. That page is her destination. It is the stop to use when the loot sale planner has already told you she pays 66 gp for a Rope Belt and you need to walk there. The boat pin south of Liberty Bay is the boat’s destination, useful when the next step is the crossing, and useless as a description of Cult Cave.

Darashia’s gathered place pins are a fourth kind of page: several destinations that share the place, paged when the list is long. Page 2 of a long location list keeps its own address. A hunting area such as the Dragon lair is still one pin. The place list is how you browse the town’s other recorded stops without pretending each of them is the lair.

Refresh and sharing use the pin’s own address. The atlas remembers camera, floor, and layer choices in the browser. Those choices do not replace the address of the place you opened. If you send someone the Cult Cave area link, they land on that area. If you send the Liberty Bay town link, they land on the town.

What should you open before leaving town?

Pick the ground in the hunting planner, open its area pin, and only then open a town pin or an NPC pin if the trip includes a sale or a boat. When several Dragon pins are still in play, start from the Dragon location list, choose a ground, and switch to that ground’s own area pin. Then check charms for the creature on the charm comparison and stamina on the offline break.
